Baby food Jar Craft

I finally used my old baby food jars that I saved a year ago! I had Thanksgiving at my house for the first time and used the jars as favors for my guests!

First I washed them and peeled off the labels. I tried different methods for getting the stickiness off.

Soaking them in warm soapy water didn’t work 👎🏻

Vinegar didn’t work 👎🏻

Rubbing alcohol worked a little but still sticky after 👎🏻

Goo Gone worked the best! 👍

I washed them again and let them dry then printed out my designs on vinyl from my Cricut and stuck them on.

After that I painted the inside of the jars and the caps. I did two coats of paint cus I didn’t like how they came out.

Then I let them dry and filled them with candy!

This took way more time than I wanted it to but I made 21 of them so that is probably why lol

Rainy day activities for toddlers

Finally a sunny day! I meant to post this when we had all the rain but better late than never!

It feels like it’s been raining all summer! Here are some rainy day activities that we’ve tried!

– Building a fort! Even if it was used to watch Zombies 1 & 2 again for the millionth time!

We added some lighting in our tent too!

Bring the beach inside! We made sand by blending cereal and I got some beach toys out to play! This sand was yummy 😆

Playing dress up!

Doing face paint or make up!

😆😆
😆😆

I did have to vacuum the whole first floor after we made the sand but it was still fun lol!

Meal ideas for toddlers/kids

The struggle is real trying to get my kids to eat anything other than cheezits or the marshmallows out of Lucky Charms cereal 😆. Here are some ideas that have worked.. some days lol

1) English muffin pizza!

2) Egg whites and chicken sausage

3) Grilled cheese

4) Hot dog Sushi! (I just flatten a piece of bread and roll it /cut it like sushi)

5) Dino nuggets and lots of ketchup

6) Mac and cheese

7) Pancakes or waffles

8) Peanut butter and Jelly or fluff sandwich with goldfish

9) Scrambled eggs and toast

10) Making my own fruit pouches

11) Meatloaf with mashed potatoes and corn

12) Pasta with butter and cheese

13) Mini quiches

14) Deconstructed sandwiches (cheese, turkey, pepperoni etc)

15) Or when I’m not looking.. straight up butter 😬

I add either a fruit or veggies with each meal. Carrots with ranch dressing, grapes, clementines, berries etc..

I have been trying the chicken nuggets with hidden veggies or fried zucchini in the air fryer and sometimes I can trick them! It’s worth a try if you want to get more veggies in them! I also like making smoothies and hiding some spinach or carrots in it.
